Read the Bill Act

Cool idea, via the Left Coaster

When I was at YearlyKos, I found out about a bill that is so sensible that there's probably no way to get it passed under today's Rubber-stamp Congress. Nevertheless, we should learn about it and then ask our representatives to support the Read the Bill act. What it requires: bills must be posted online for 72 hours before a vote. What an idea. Think about what it would do to earmarks. Either you publicly make the case for your special project or it doesn't get funded.

A great conservative proposition. At first I thought it was just going to require the members themselves to read the bills, but this is even better. I'm in.
