We need to remember how they voted when we vote in November.

Sort of interesting to see where those with Presidential aspirations fall on your list.

CBS Evening News, 05/03/06, cited examples of current "emergency" spending bill provisions including $500,000 for the Montana World Trade Center. Among a bare handful of Montana residents who have even heard about the place is its director, a crony of Sen. Max Baucus.

Frank IBC :

10 states had both their Senators make the "trifecta":

AK = Murkowski, Stevens
AR = Lincoln, Pryor
HI = Akaka, Inouye
LA = Landrieu, Vitter
MA = Kennedy, Kerry
MD = Mikulski, Sarbanes
ME = Collins, Snowe
MS = Cochran, Lott
MN = Coleman, Dayton
NY = Clinton, Shumer

4 are in the Northeast and 3 are in the Mississippi Delta.

Two biggest disappointments:
Allard (R-CO) and Coleman (R-MN). Vitter (R-LA) is a minor disappointment but understandable. Two biggest surprises: Stabenow (D-MI) and Chafee (R-RI). It is nice to see that the two most vulnerable Reps Burns and Santorum at least scored 2 out of 3.

Have to ask. What are asterisks next to Sen Kerry denote? This is illustrative of the key problem. St. Ronald of Reagan told us that Govt was not the solution it was the problem. I disagree, the biggest disappointment is my Sens, Cornyn and Hutchison. They lost my votes, I am voting Libertarian from now on.

Salazar was better than Allard. Looks like it's time for the voters of CO to "retire" Sen. Allard. Unfortunately it will be by replacing him with a dem as he will most likely win the repub primary. Oh well.

I wouldn't toss out Cornyn with the Hutchison bathwater however.

Why the asterisk beside Isackson of Ga and the double asterisk beside Kerry of Ma?

Just found this site. What a great list. I'll use it to guide my vote and contributions.

It really drives home how meaningless the party designation really is. In both parties you have some with the courage of their convictions who believe in fiscal responsibility and limited government. You also have some big spenders that really believe in big government. Then you've got vast majority of both parties where it is all about getting re-elected by bringing home the bacon. End of story

I guess I just don't believe we'll ever change that mix. But there is a way to vote that always results in better fiscal responsibility - if you have the stomach for it. Reagan economic advisor William Niskanen shows the way:

Thats how I am voting:
